The recent revitalization of Collingswood’s downtown district has brought accolades from numerous organizations and publications. The LumberYard development brought home awards from the Congress for the New Urbanism for its design as a walkable, neighborhood-based development (link) and received the NJ Smart Growth award (read article here ) and the New York Times hailed Collingswood as “Where walkable meets affordable” (read article here).
Recently, Collingswood was also named as having the nation’s best Farmer’s Market and Haddon Ave was named one of America’s greatest streets by the American Planning Association.
These honors represent the modern and uniquely walkable lifestyle available at The LumberYard Condos. America’s greatest farmers’ market and shopping avenue are just steps away living in Collingswood.
The LumberYard is part of a Transit Oriented Development project, positioning it within foot distance from public transportation on the PATCO high speedline (link to PATCO). Designation as a Transit Village helps to create attractive, vibrant, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods where people can live, shop, work and play. LumberYard residents can walk to the Collingswood station for a quick ten minute ride to center city Philadelphia. See our Location page for more information on the LumberYard’s proximity to downtown Collingswood, Philadelphia and more. (jump to location page for more info on TOD/PATCO).
